Dare to Dream:  Inspired by everyday heroes who have changed their lives through imagination, education and support, and then used their success to improve the lives of others.

I’m a Good Dog:  Dogs are such good teachers on life’s journey. From preparing us for parenthood, to teaching us about paying attention, faithfulness or forgiveness, they light the way. This is another chapter in that story.

Careful with Your Heart: The heart is not just the pulse of our circulatory system; it is a link to our deepest emotional connections. This song is about navigating that journey.

American Dream 2025 is a protest anthem about the collapse - and possible reclaiming - of the American Dream.  The promise of freedom, equality, and opportunity has been corrupted by power, money, and fear.  We cannot be complacent!

Birds Who Winter Stay-A Haiku:  Haiku poetry is a good way to hone your skills in being concise. It is a form that limits the writer to 3 lines and the number of syllables in each line: 5, 7, and 5. This tune combines a few haikus together into a song about our treasured snow country winter residents.

Christmastime in Sydney:  a light-hearted comedic Christmas song about celebrating the holidays in Australia, where Christmas falls during the summer, playfully flipping the classic snowy Christmas imagery on its head.

We Are Equal: I recently read something by Thomas L Friedman, where he said he isn’t an either/or person; he is a both/and person. The world is not black and white, or just limited to one point of view or single point of reference. It’s bigger than that.

Before I Go To Bed: There are lots of ways to key into our place in the Universe. It’s BIG! About 6 years ago Hank began searching the night sky through a telescope and camera, for clues about where he lives. It is a journey of many inspirations, frustrations, friendships, ah-ha’s, and satisfaction. You can check out Hank’s blog that chronicles this journey at: https://sdbhas.org/blogs/members/hankf-blog/

They Dared to Dream: In 1939, Lakota leader Henry Standing Bear was looking for someone who could inspire future generations to not only remember the first Americans, preserve their traditions and protect their heritage, but to help his people celebrate who they are.  He found that person in sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski, who began carving the mountain sculpture of Lakota warrior Crazy Horse in 1948. Today, Korczak’s grandsons are among those who continue that work on the world’s largest mountain carving to accomplish this goal. With the adaptation and adoption of revolutionary carving techniques, our children will see the carving completed, at Crazy Horse Memorial in the sacred Black Hills. Thanks to author Jessie Recountre, a Hunkpapa Lakota from the Standing Rock Reservation for allowing us to record her singing the Lakota “Lele” song, and to Sophia Rencountre for allowing us to record her jingle dress dance.

Beacon of Hope - We wrote this song after taking a tour of the Point Sur Light Station on California’s Big Sur coast.  One of the exhibits allows visitors to hear the sounds of the fog warning signals that were once used.  Hank recorded the foghorn sounds on his phone, and we included these at the beginning and ending of the song.  You can learn more about the Point Sur Light Station at  http://pointsur.org
